Meagan and Mark – Wedding at Prestonwood Baptist Church – Plano, TX

Ben and I arrived early and began to peak around the large church, the light coming in at Prestonwood Baptist Church was beautiful.  The sky was a deep blue with puffy clouds, that almost seemed happy.  They danced around the sky, and it is safe to say that the clouds were dancing in excitement for Meagan and Mark’s big day.

Right on time, Meagan came into the building…  Meagan is beautiful, serene, elegant.  As soon as she entered the building, she proceeded to the Bride’s Room and unpacked all the wedding day goodies she would be wearing.  As she laughed with her bridesmaids, she would glance at the clock and close her eyes tight, taking in the moments before she walked down the aisle.
Meagan and Mark, I cannot thank you enough for allowing us to capture your big day.  Not only are you two incredible people, but each and EVERY member of your families were just as amazing.

Much love to you!

Felicia & Stewart – Wedding at Wildwood Inn – Denton, TX

They say that it is good luck if it rains on your wedding day…  This must mean that if a MONSOON decides to invite itself to your wedding you will have a considerable amount of good luck!  This is what happened on Felicia and Stewart’s big day on October 23, 2010 …  A downpour of rain and ominous clouds invaded the skies early in the day and forced their outdoor ceremony indoors.

In the midst of all the pressing decisions and wet umbrellas, Felicia sat in her makeup chair calm and collected – Because she knew that rain could not spoil such a special day.  Embracing the fact that she was going to marry her best friend, the dismay of rain vanished.  And then the drizzle literally vanished…  As they declared their vows the clouds started to dissipate and the concrete began to dry, allowing us just enough daylight to take some photos outside.

Felicia and Stewart had a wedding with Scottish traditions including a hand-fasting ceremony and all the gentlemen wore kilts.  I love it when couples really bring their heritage into aspects of their wedding!

Ben and I really enjoyed everything about this wedding, here are some of our favorites:

As you can see…  The forecast was practically RED the entire afternoon! Felicia and Stewart opted to do a “First Look”.  Although we had originally planned for this moment to be outside, we decided that seeing her walk down the aisle for the first look would be just perfect.  Ben captured these amazing moments:I LOVE First Looks!  The emotions captured are just priceless. Celtic Handfasting ceremony.  Beautiful. And THIS is why I absolutely ADORE my clients!  Not afraid to let loose and have some goofy fun! Now it’s time to party! I bet you haven’t seen this before…  Stewart wore a garter, too.  This made for some hilarious moments! Now it’s time for the “garter catcher” to put the garter on the “bouquet winner” … again – HILARIOUS!!!

A romantic last dance all alone …

THANK YOU Felicia and Stewart for being so fun, laid back, in love!  🙂

Much love and many blessings to you!

Meagan – Bridal session at Las Colinas Canals

Meagan stepped out of the backseat of the car, the sun hit her hair and she just glowed all over.  It was like a movie – you know – the part where the gorgeous girl walks into a room and it’s always in slow motion? …  That was Meagan.  Beautiful, classy – glowing.

A big thank you to her parents and sister that came out and helped, all of you are so amazing!

Here are some favorites from the day:

          Welcome

Well... If you are here, you stumbled across the blog! Sadly, we spend so much time ensuring our clients have their photos and products quickly, that we rarely update the poor blog. Not to mention having two kiddos keeps us TOO busy! We hope to spend more time on the blog in the next few months. In the meantime, check out our Instagram for new work.
